SMS text messaging & opt-in

Zakatable sends a small number of transactional text messages to our own registered users — nonprofit staff and assistance applicants who create an account. This page explains exactly what we send, how you consent to receive it, and how to opt out at any time.

What we send

Account & application text messages

  • One-time verification codese.g. “Your Zakatable verification code is 123456. Valid for 10 minutes.”
  • Account & application updatese.g. “Zakatable: Your assistance application ZKT-2026-0042 has been approved. Reply STATUS for details, HELP for help, or STOP to opt out.”

We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Messages are strictly related to your own account and assistance application. Message frequency varies based on your account and application activity. Message & data rates may apply.

Your mobile number and your SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

How you opt in

You consent when you sign up

You opt in by creating an account at app.zakatable.org (or in the Zakatable mobile app) and, on the sign-up form, entering your mobile number and checking the consent box shown below. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and the box is unchecked by default — you must actively check it.
